Metro Atlanta Bagpiper - Occasional Music
Wedding Bagpiper
Bagpipes have been making weddings more joyful for centuries. What better
way to celebrate one of the happiest days of your life than with the
uplifting music of the bagpipes. You and your guests don't have to be
Scottish to smile and be moved at the first notes played.
Bagpipe Options for Weddings
Each wedding service is unique. You have put a lot of thought into how to
make this day your own. Here are some typical moments in the day where you
might want to place bagpipe music.
- Before the ceremony, as guests arrive. Particularly
effective if all guests are arriving at the same time (say arriving at a
location by bus), or if the entrance is not easy to find.
- The Procession, leading the wedding party or the
bride down the aisle.
- During the service, as special music or during communion. The
quieter smallpipes can be particularly effective here.
- The Recessional, beginning as the new couple is
announced as husband and wife, playing down the aisle.
- After the ceremony pipes can play outside during
the receiving line and as the couple leaves the area.
- At the reception or cocktail hour, the piper can
lead the couple into their table, play the first dance, or play a few
tunes to entertain your guests later in the evening, after they've
'loosened up' a bit.
